Sony is testing the water of the download only market. I think this is pretty exciting, you can get large enough SD card for a small amount now. This will result in developers exploring games which need large storage which should mean bigger and better games for us PSP fanatics.

Sony is obviously not making money through pirated games download sites, such as the site linked below. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't jump on the bandwagon. Digital downloads is the way the entire gaming industry is going and Sony are just trying to play catchup. I think publishers would rather have games downloaded from official websites. In fact, publishers resent the resale market due to the squeeze on their margins.

You can always download Patapon2 from the PlayStation Store for twenty Dollars or for free from the site below when you’ve paid a small membership fee. This is pretty cool to see Sony take a popular game like Patapon and release it only as a downloaded game. It is likely to get people who have never purchased a game in the PSP PlayStation store to try it out with Patapon. There are going to be Patapon 2 boxes sold at stores but they are going to contain download codes.

So, what’s the game like to play? The Patapon sequel is better than the original. Patapon is a intelligent warfare simulator, but lots of fun. This version has more character classes, a well-explained evolution tree for the Patapon warriors which you bring to life, and a new warning system for when your rhythm attacks begin to fall out of sync. One negative is the load times were not as quick as usual.
